This was the project for the class Intro to CAD/CAE Tools (24-688) at Carnegie Mellon, Fall 2016.
Requirments:
Create a seat handle release design that is suitable for manufacturing 100,000 assembled seats (First part)
Optimize the approved seat handle mechanism design for production readiness (Second part)
Utilize FEA software to analyze and update the original design produce a production ready product.
The design, assembly, dynamic simulation and optimization were done using Autodesk Inventor 2017.
The rendering was done using Autodesk Showcase 2017
The FEA analysis was done using Autodesk Simulation Mechanical 2017
